Ms. Pat is a storyteller type of comic who is perfect at it. Touching on parenting, her upbringing, and how she turns her journey into comedy makes this one funny special.

It was the debut of David A. Arnold on Netflix, and he absolutely knocked it out of the ballpark. It’s sad after 20+ years in the business, Arnold finally got his moment and sadly passed away mere months later.

I am a big fan of these types of specials because you get a wide range of diverse comedians who have been doing the time that finally get that platform to showcase their skills. Rosebud Baker is someone who has been killing this space for a long time, and she was incredible on this one, as was Sam Morril, but more on him later.

I am a huge Aziz fan, but this special was awful. I hated his entire pandemic/vaccine jokes as they weren’t funny, and throughout the special, it felt like he was beating a dead horse repeatedly.

The single best stand-up comedy special that has been released in 2022. I understand that this special wasn’t for some but Morril delivers in ways that no other comedian has this year about topics that most are afraid to tackle.

It’s wild that my number one and two stand-up specials line up back to back on this list. Tomlinson is HILARIOUS and the funniest woman on the planet. Crazy enough, I think she is just getting started.

4. Ricky Gervais: Supernature
There are people who love Ge and those who don’t, and I am more in line with the latter. I don’t not like Gervais, I just feel he tries so hard to be edgy or controversial for the sake of being edgy or controversial.
Official Premise: With his signature black humor, the comic gives his take on the rules of comedy, spoiling his cats and the wonders of nature, from the London Palladium.

At this point, I think the editors here at Ready Steady Cut knew that this would be number one and wanted to troll me into writing this piece. We all know how I felt about this special, and I know how all of you felt about how I felt about this special. I hope Burr comes back strong with his next special.
